Michael attended the First United Methodist Church of Tuscumbia and was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Martha Farr Evans; and his paternal grandparents, Hildreth and Lurene Reynolds Johnson.
Michael graduated from Sheffield High School in 1992 third in his class. He attended the University of Alabama on a scholarship for one year and then transferred to the University of North Alabama. At UNA he became involved in the theater program graduating with a degree in theater and communication. Joining Local 900 IATSE in Huntsville and Local 78 IATSE in Birmingham, he began his career in the live entertainment industry, mainly in backstage production.
Michael was a fun and happy guy who loved life, his career, his friends and Auburn University. He was a Christian and devoted father who dearly loved his son and two daughters. During his short time with us, the world was a happier place.
He is survived by his parents, William G. "Bill" and Lynne Farr Evans Reynolds; son, Michael Austin May; daughters, Baylee and Gabrielle Reynolds; brother, William H. Reynolds; sister, Beth Person and husband, Joe; nieces, Lucy and Ellie Person; nephew, John Person; and special friend, Cindy Wiseman.
Pallbearers are Evan Skinner, Steifon Passmore, David Jerkins, Wes Thompson, Steve Lewis, Scott Stooksberry, Brooke Perry and Danny Rochelle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael Reynolds' Memorial fund at any TVA Community Credit Union. The funds will be used to support the future of his three children.
