Ina Mae Thiede Wood, a lifelong resident of Lewisville, died July 1, 2013, in Denton, TX. Born in the Round Grove community on March 22, 1920, she was the only daughter of six children born to Herman A. and Evalyn "Eva" Miller Thiede. She married Herschel Wood of Coppell, who preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 1991.

Ina was an accomplished painter and artist receiving awards at the Texas State Fair and other local fairs and events for her paintings. Her artwork has been featured locally at art shows and displayed at Starbucks in Highland Village. She was a member of the Land of Lakes Regional Arts Association. Ina shared her love of art with friends and family teaching many of her nieces and nephews to paint. She loved to laugh and often had a joke or funny story to share. Ina is survived by one brother and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Manford, Olin, Homer and Charles.
