Charles Robbins married Mary Hayward around 1840 in either New York or Ohio. Most of their children were born in Ohio.

Through family notes - Charles Robbins served as a Union soldier in the Civil War with three of his enlisted sons. Charles was wounded in the leg. Cannot locate the names of the Charles' parents, but census records listed as birth place as New York for his parents. The Robbins family originated from Scotland.
