Ms. Priddy was born October 27, 1920 in Fayette County, Al to the late Pervy and Addie May Webster. She graduated from Winfield High School and from Massey Business School in Birmingham. Mrs. Priddy worked for Liberty National life Insurance Company until February 14, 1948 when she married her husband of 40 years, Stratton Priddy. After marriage, she moved to Sulligent where she maintained the books at Priddy's Furniture store with her husband Stratton and father-in-law, Otto Priddy. After her husband's death, Nell ran the store for several years.
Edra Nell was a life-long Methodist, for most of her life at Sulligent First United Methodist Church, followed by a few years at Oak Hill United Methodist Church. At Sulligent, she held many church offices and was a member of the Wesleyan Service Guild and later the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Sulligent Study Club, D.A.R. and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Ms. Priddy was an avid fan of the University of Alabama and attended many Alabama football games with her husband and her son, Bill.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sulligent United Methodist Church, Northwest Alabama Hospice of Winfield or the United Methodist Children's Home.
