JOHNSON – William Plemon Johnson, age 70 and a resident of Cuba, N.M., for 45 years, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening. He is survived by his wife, M. Kate Johnson of Cuba; two daughters, Mrs. Lorene Vannest of Albuquerque, and Mrs. Allene Vigil in California; two sons, Shelly P. Johnson and Robert M. Johnson, both of Cuba, N.M.; four brothers, Archie Johnson of Jimenez, Mexico, Wiley Johnson of Moriarity, B. B. Johnson of Oro Grande, and Eugene Johnson of Cuba, N.M.; and two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Renouard and Mrs. Bessie Lee Morris, both of Albuquerque. Johnson had been a rancher and motel operator in Cuba, N.M. He was a member of the school board, Hiram Lodge 13 AFRAM and Scottish Rue. Services will be held in the chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE. Thursday at 2 p.m. with George Meeds of the Church of Christ in Cuba officiating. Internment in Sunset Memorial Park.
