Cheryl C. Erner, 49, of Dayton, formerly of Albany, died Saturday. She was born in Albany and attended West Albany High School. She worked as a motel maid and babysitter.

She married Roy Erner Jan. 17, 1972 in Albany. They lived in Albany, Medford, Salina, Kan., and McMinnville before moving to Dayton in 1994.
Mrs. Erner belonged to the Albany Eagles Lodge and liked playing bingo at the McMinnville Elks Lodge and the Sheridan Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. She enjoyed her dogs and cats.

Surviving are husband Roy; daughter Lori Boeder of Hillsboro; stepson Allen Erner of Albany; brothers Bruce Averill of Albany and Gilbert Averill of Salem; half-brother Bill Sapp of Chicago; half-sisters Wilma Averill of Albany and Pauline Smith of Tillamook; and two grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. Mother Thelma Averill and sister Marilyn Wasson died before her.

Viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Macy & Son Funeral Home in McMinnville. An Albany viewing will be held from 11:30 to 12:30 at Wiliamette Memorial Park on Wednesday. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cheryl Erner Memorial Fund, in care of Macy and Son Funeral Home, 135 N. Evans St., McMinnville, Ore. 97128.
