A native of Tennessee, he had been a resident of Muncie for several years. He was a former employee of the Ball Brothers paper mill. After that mill closed, he farmed on Bethel Pike for several years. He was a member of the College Avenue Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Carrie and Mima; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Stephens Funeral Home. Rev. C.G. Cook of the College Avenue Methodist Church will officiate the burial in Jones Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
