Robert "Bob" Meitner passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009. He will be missed by all of those who were blessed to know him. He had a huge heart and a great sense of humor. He considered everyone he met a friend, and he was always lending a hand to whomever he saw needed it. His family and friends near and far are deeply saddened with his passing, but know he is watching over us daily. We love ya! You're the toughest, yet sweetest man we know.
Bob was preceded in death by his mom, Anna Zander; brother, Irvin Meitner; daughters, Karen and Jacqueline; son, Dennis; dear friend, Betty McGrew, and Soul mate, Gladine Marshall.
He is survived by his brother, Jim Meitner and family; sister-in-law, Ruby Meitner and family; daughters: Linda (Frank) Hizer, and Annette (Rick) Pastori; grandchildren, Nicole Pastori, Kim and Chris Meitner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Private services will be held Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009 in Fortuna.
