Died, in this city, on Monday evening, July 21st, 1890, Mr. Edward Eyre. The deceased was born in Rutland County, England, on Feb. 20, 1818, and came with his family to Wisconsin in 1849.
Soon after he settled on a small brush farm in the neighborhood of Bloomfield, where he by his untiring industry and provident management, he secured a moderate competence.
About May 1883, he was stricken down with something akin to a paralysis of the loins and was for a good while quite helpless. After some years the paralysis left him, but other complications set in, so that he was virtually a prisoner in his own house, and for about the last month could partake of no food. In the midst of it all, he was always cheerful, and was never known to complain of his lot. His every movement has shown the upright man, the sincere Christian, and of full weight.
The funeral service was held by the Rev. G. W. Horton, in the Bloomfield church, on Wednesday, and the very large attendance of his old friends and neighbors, showed the very high esteem in which he was held.
