Olga Anna Rook, nee Peters, 89, Washington, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at Cedarcrest Manor, Washington.Mrs. Rook, daughter of the late William Peters and wife Mathilda, nee Kampschroeder, was born December 19, 1910, at Washington. She received her education in the Washington School District.She was united in marriage to Willis Rook at Washington November 30, 1933. For 30 years, Mrs. Rook was employed by Wonder-Maid garment factory.Mrs. Rook was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors of America. In her younger years, she was active in local theatrical productions and was very involved in the 1939 Centennial of Washington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Rook, in 1976; and by one sister, Elsie Trentmann. Among her survivors are one son, James Rook, St. Louis; one sister, Esther Johannes, California; two grandchildren, James Rook Jr. and Robert Donovan Rook; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. Following visitation, Mrs. Rook's remains were cremated, and no funeral services were held. A private committal will be held at a later date. The Rook family was served by Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
