Paul David Baderschneider of Mahomet was born Oct. 5, 1965. He became a child of God through Holy Baptism on Dec. 12, 1965, at the Union State Line Lutheran Church, Petersburg, Minn.
He died Feb. 4 at the age of 46 at Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, from complications of chronic liver disease.
The funeral service will be at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 909 S. Wright St. in Champaign, on Saturday, February 11, at 4 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Elaine Olson. A time of visitation and fellowship will follow the service. A private interment will follow at a later date.
Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents. Surviving him are a son, Tyler Baderschneider of Hawkeye, Iowa; parents, the Rev. Victor and Marian Baderschneider of Mahomet; and a sister, Mrs. Vicki Comnick of Novato, Calif.
He attended public school at St. Ansgar, Iowa, and West Union, Iowa, graduating from The University of Nebraska Lincoln Independent Study High School in 1983.
He was a professional flooring installer for over 25 years and ran his own business, Badger Floor Coverings, for many of these years. He was also an employee of the Plastipak Company of Champaign, until deciding to go back to school.
He was enrolled at Parkland College for three years pursuing his degree in the Associate of Applied Sciences. He only had two more courses to complete to earn his degree when he became too ill to continue. This was a big disappointment for him.
He had many interests in life including playing guitar, computer building and gaming, cooking, collecting, camping and fishing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. We thank God for the years we had together to share our life and love.
