Carol E. (Hetherton) Meves Prior to Carol's passing on Wednesday, July 3, God sent the most brilliant double rainbow to her hospital window as His promise to her, "Today you will be with Me in Paradise."

Carol was born May 6, 1940 in Williston, ND to James & Gladys (Aamodt) Hetherton. She graduated from Opheim High School, Opheim, MT and then enlisted in the US Navy where she served as a Hospital Corps Wave and met the love of her life Charles M. Meves. On June 6, 1961 they were united in marriage at Great Lakes Naval Hospital.

She was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior. Her greatest joys in life were being a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and cheerleader. She was also a loyal Brewer & Packer fan. Over the years, she was employed by Rodewald Buick, Chilton Village, Metko and Art Unlimited. Carol retired in 2002 (when you're a homemaker you never really retire). Carol was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Holstein serving on the Altar Guild and the Zion prayer chain. She was also an active member of the New Holstein American Legion Auxiliary.

Chuck & Carol were blessed with four children, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Kim & John Wilkens of Kiel and their children Matt (Jill & Grace), Brandon (his daughter Jaelyn Neils) and Tyler. Denise & Kevin Kosnicki of Elkhart Lake and their children Kassi, Jenna and Travis. Lynn & Paul Machajewski of Goodview, MN and their children Casey, Alea and Brady. Steven & Mary Meves of Lindenhurst, IL and their children Michael and Nathan. Carol had three loving sisters all of Montana; Fay Dear (her dearest friend), Colleen & Lowell Hallock and Judy & Virgil Nelson. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Naomi Holzwart of Sheboygan & a brother-in-law James & Sue Meves of Franklin, as well as many loving nieces and nephews; and so many friends, too many to mention.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Melvin & Eleanora Meves, sister-in-law Joanne Meves and brothers-in-law Reuben Holzwart and Buck Dear.

Burial will take place in the New Holstein Countryview Cemetery.
