Harry J. Haberberger, 84, Washington, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at St. John's Mercy Hospital, Washington.
Mr. Haberberger was born July 1, 1914, at Washington, the son of the late Joseph Haberberger and wife Catherine, nee Hagedorn. He received his education at the St. Francis Borgia Schools. He served his country during World War II, in the Army, attaining the rank of sergeant.
Mr. Haberberger was a member of St. Francis Parish, V.F.W. Post 2661, W.C.U.. and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Pate and Leona Worley Boehm.
Among his survivors are four sisters, Betty Edwards, Jefferson City, Agnes Depew and husband John, Florissant, Adelle McCrary and husband George, Stafford, Virginia, and Bernice Briggs, Washington; one brother-in-law, Walter Pate, Washington; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, June 5, at St. Francis Borgia Church with Rev. Jack Costello officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
The Haberberger family was served by Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
