In 1903 he was a co-founder of the predecessor company, Gesellschaft fΓΌr drahtlose Telegrafen m. b. H. System Telefunken, that became Telefunken AG, the world renowned radio and television company. Retired from professional and public duties in 1912 for health reasons; died in Berlin.
