Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Marinette for Lillian Rose Settersten, 93, of Northland Village, Marinette. She passed away on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006.
The Rev. Keith A. Kolstad officiated and burial was in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.

The daughter of August and Anna (nee Heckel) Krei was born on Oct. 2, 1912 in Menominee, Mi.

She married Turan Settersten on Feb. 7, 1932.

In June of 1931 she graduated from Menominee High School and worked at Lauerman’s Store, area nursing homes and the former St. Joseph-Lloyd Hospital Therapy Department. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, serving on the Sew for Missions program, Vacation Bible School lunch program and fellowship committees for many years. While her children were in school she was involved in various activities, including PTA, Scouting and served as room mother.

Survivors include her children: Joel (Rosalie) Settersten of Marinette, WI; Gary (Patricia) Settersten of Janesville, WI; Richard (Diann) Settersten of Kenosha, WI; Mrs. William (Juanita) McCormick and Tyrone (Amber) Settersten, both of Racine, WI;
29 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years; a daughter, Sylvia (Ronald) Fischer; a son, Bradley Settersten and two sisters, Gertrude Christophersen and Edna Johnson.
