graduated from Holmes High School in San Antonio and in 1984 earned a bachelor's degree in engineering technology from Texas A&M University.
He served four years as an aircraft navigator with the U.S. Air Force.
He returned to San Antonio after leaving the service. A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at Ortiz Funeral Home Chapel in San Antonio.
Mass will be said at 11:45 a.m. Monday at Little Flower Shrine in San Antonio, with burial afterward at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
His parents are John Raymond and Dominga Romero.
