Florence M. Gilbertson, age 86, died on Tuesday, June 8, 1993, in a Verona Nursing Home. She was born on October 14, 1906, in Sheldon, Iowa. Her parents were the late John and Elizabeth (McDonald) Stoker. She was married to Oliver Gilbertson, and he preceded her in death on August 2, 1968. She taught school in the Mt. Horeb and Black Earth areas for many years. She was a longtime member of the Perry Lutheran Church and was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary.

Survivors include three sons, James (Violet) of Mt. Horeb, Gerald (Delores) of O'Cala, Florida, and Francis (Joyce) of Minoquo; three daughters, Mary (Bruce) Cruger of Verona, Lucy (Jim) Foley of Denver, Colorado, and Sharon (John) Fischer of Madison; two sisters, Hazel Aldridge of Rockford, Illinois, and Dorothy Hornberger of Freeport, Illinois; a brother, Robert Stoker of Las Vegas, Nevada; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother; four sisters, a son-in-law, Monte Olson; and a great-grandchild.
