Infection Causes Death of Al Rahn, Lanark Farmer, Today

Lanark, Dec. 31. --An infection that was aggravated by trouble with his teeth caused the death at a Freeport hospital today of Al Rahn, 52, well known Lanark farmer. Mr. Rahn had been ill one week. He was suffering from an infection of the blood and when he had a tooth pulled, his condition became serious. Surviving are a widow and son, both living at the home east of Lanark. Funeral services are not complete.

From the Morning Star (Rockford, IL), Wed., 1 Jan 1930, p.11:

Freeport, Dec. 31 -- Albert Rahn, 52 years old, of Lanark, died this morning at 5 o'clock in a Freeport hospital, where he had been under treatment for an infection of the face. The body was taken to Lanark and funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Mr. Rahn was born at Lanark March 31, 1877, and there married Miss Anna Larson [Larsen].

The widow and a son, Rex, survive, as do two brothers and two sisters: Harry and Clinton Rahn and Mrs. Ida Gouker, of Lanark, and Mrs. Rose Allison, of Milledgeville.
