Elaine O. Haag, 74, of 827 N. Thoman St., Crestline, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Crestline Nursing Home, Crestline, after a seven month battle with cancer. Elaine was born in Bellville on August 3, 1938 to the late Skiles and Ethel (Packer) Paxton. She married Warner F. Haag on October 11, 1959 and he survives her. Elaine was a graduate of the Bellville High School, Class of 1956. She was a member of the Calvary United Church of Christ, Crestline. She enjoyed being a member of the Crestline Golden Age Club. She looked forward to the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month when she went to the Golden Agers to play Bingo and Euchre. Living in Crestline, she enjoyed the sound of train whistles. She enjoyed bowling and watching her grandson's basketball games, especially when they made Three-Pointers. She was a fan of the Cleveland Indians; her favorite player was Michael Brantley, who plays Left Field. She loved flowers and playing cards. Her favorite game shows were The Price Is Right and Family Feud and you did not disturb her during that hour ! Along with her husband, she is survived by her two sons and her daughter: Jeff and Lynn Haag, University Heights, Tim and Laurie Haag, Loudonville and Gwen Albright, Crestline, her nine grandchildren: Rachel Haag, Todd Haag, Sarah Haag, Kayla Combs, Skiles Haag, AJ Haag, Davis Albright, Tyler Albright and Branden Collins, her two brothers and her sister: Eloise Paxton, Lee Paxton and Dean and Shelley Paxton, all of Bellville. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Kim Bayless officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
