Charles Coleman Herrill, 68, native of Burlington, is dead at his home in San Diego, Calif., according to word received here yesterday by relatives. He had made his home in California for the past 40 years.
He conducted a ranch there but had retired before his death. He was born at the family home in the vicinity of Starr's cave, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Herrill, and lived here until going to California.
Mr. Herrill is survived by his widow and several children and a brother and sister, John S. Herrill and Miss Ollie Herrill of Burlington. Funeral services will be held at San Diego Friday. The body will be cremated.
