E. Beryl King Kinzer was born in to Carl C. and Anna S. Scott King. Her parents first farmed in Canada, but moved to the Palouse country when Beryl was a young child and purchased the farm on Parvin Road. Beryl attended the Albion School and graduated from Pullman High School. She attended Washington State College in Pullman, then worked as a secretary with the 319 College Training Detachment at WSC.

Beryl met her husband, Jim Kinzer, when they both attended Albion School. They married Oct. 16, 1943, in Wichita Falls, Texas, while Jim was stationed there during World War II.

After World War II, the Kinzers returned to Beryl's childhood home on Parvin Road and farmed with Beryl's parents, Carl and Anna King, forming King & Kinzer Corporation.

Beryl was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at WSC, Parvin Grange, Chapter AE of P.E.O. at Palouse and was a longtime organist at the Palouse Federated Church.

Beryl's hobbies included working hard on the farm, raising her children, playing organ and piano for numerous functions around the community, and she treasured all the years she went ballroom dancing with her husband Jim. Beryl had been unable to dance since her injury when she was struck in a Moscow crosswalk in 1988.

Beryl was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jim in August 2008.

Beryl was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many.
