From the Rome (NY) Daily Sentinel dated Monday, 12/8/1924: "Mrs. Frank Vedder Dies at Home in Lee
Lee, Dec. 8. -- After a courageous, but losing struggle with a complication of diseases, Mrs. Frank Vedder quietly passed away Friday evening at her home at West Lee. She had been in good health until the first of the year when she became ill, gradually failing until her health became serious. Mary Vedder was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Adams, and was born in the town of Lee, May 7, 1869, where the greater part of her life was spent. Mrs. Vedder was a very industrious, hard working woman, ever ready to help where help was needed, kind to all in trouble. A rule in life with her seemed to be, to give as little trouble as possible, and to do as much for others as she could, performing her part in life in a conscientious, faithful, but unassuming manner. For those and her many other excellent qualities she will be much missed, by a wide circle of friends, all of whom will extend heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved relatives in their affliction. Surviving are her husband, Frank Vedder, one daughter, Mrs. George Bartlett, one son, Wonder, both of Lee, one sister, Mrs. John G. Meyers of Rome, R. R. 5, a brother, Sanford Adams, of Clark Mills, and five grandchildren".

*Note - Her first husband, married in 1890, was Walter S. Letson, son of George W. and Amamunda 'Amanda' Bates Letson.
