Earl was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Garden. He held many different jobs throughout his working life. From saw mills, to fishing, where he nearly drown twice, to farming, to pipelining, to construction - building bridges, buildings and roads. In August 1964 Earl joined the Operating Engineers Local 324 and just recently received his gold watch for 40 years as a dedicated union member.
