Amanda Marie Maser, 27, Pennsylvania Furnace, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at home. Born Feb. 25, 1977, in Johnstown, beloved daughter of David and Dianne (Martinovich) Maser. Preceded in death by mother. Survived by father, brother Zachary Maser, grandmothers Irene Martinovich and Leona Constable. Amanda participated In many community activities, and was a member of, and legislative chair for, Disabled American Veterans Aux. Chapter 2, Johnstown. She was secretary for Aktion Club, and received Pa. District member of the year in 2003. Amanda was a volunteer and honorary intern at Shaver's Creek Environmental Center for 10 years, and contributed artwork to their newsletter. Along with her artwork and wildlife notecards, Amanda designed T-shirts for Centre Wildlife Care, was interested In a variety of crafts, and was an avid howler. She inspired the creation of Child Hope Inc., a nonprofit support group benefiting families of children with chronic or life-threatening illness. Amanda was a graduate of State College Area High School. Funeral Tuesday at State College Presbyterian Church, Rev. Joel Blunk officiating. Burial in Grandview Cemetery. [Centre Daily]
