LIGONIER — McLEARY – Nancy Jane, 76, Ligonier, died early Tuesday morning, March 20, 2012, at her home. Born Sept. 23, 1935, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Dr. Robert J. and Lida Cook Fritz. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a registered nurse for Latrobe Area Hospital Home Health. During her professional career, she also had been employed by the former McGinnis Hospital and Ligonier Valley Ambulance Service. Member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church and OES 349, Fort Ligonier Chapter. Past president of the Junior Women's Club. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard R. McLeary; sons, Richard W. McLeary and David W. (Andrea) McLeary, all of Ligonier; grandchildren, Noel and Devin McLeary; and sister, Joan Fritz, Johnstown. Nancy's friends and family will gather together from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel Inc., 144 E. Main St., Ligonier. Nancy's life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church with her pastor, Paul Poerschke officiating. Interment will follow in Richland Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made in Nancy's memory to St. James Lutheran Evangelical Lutheran Church or Ligonier Valley Ambulance Service.
