JOHN B WEST: Graveside services for Mr. John B. West of Dixon Springs were conducted Friday afternoon in the Dixon Springs Cemetery. Bro. Nat McKinney and Bro. Ed Spiva officiated at the 2:00p.m. services. Mr West died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon at the age of 80. Mr. West was preceded in death by his wife, Cassie Allen Royster West on April 23, 1991. They had been married since August 30, 1974. Mr. West retired from the San Diego Gas and Electric Co. in 1967 as an electrical supervisor after 27 years service. He began his career in 1928 with the Stevens and Woods Co. constructing lines in Smith County for the former Tennessee Power Co. He later worked for Allied Engineers before being employed in 1939 as a lineman for T.V.A. Mr. West was Baptist in belief and was born in Smith County the son of the late Jesse L. and
Mary Young Bridgewater West. Surviving are three sisters, Mary Etta Smith and Betty Key both of Carthage and Frances Ford of Chattanooga. Sanderson Funeral Home of Carthage, Directors.
