James Bernard Postert, Sr., age 48, of Bandera, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004 in a Kerrville hospital. He was born September 22, 1955 in San Antonio to Edward Jacob Postert, Sr. and Velma Lea Jacobs Postert.
After graduating from high school, he studied Law Enforcement and had worked in Bandera County, Kendall, and Medina County and worked for the Boerne Police Department and Crane Police Department.
Survivors include his mother, Velma Postert of Bandera; brothers, Edward J. Postert of Bandera and Douglas E. Postert of Uvalde; children, Jamie Leigh, James, Jr., and Roy Edward, all of Boerne, and Zoe Tyne and Kyla Brook of Jacksonville, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward J. Postert, Sr.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
