Herbert Henry Brown was born on Jul 9, 1899 at Cape Chin, Lindsey, Bruce, Ontario, the eldest child of John and Mary (Renshaw) Brown. He came to British Columbia with his parents and siblings about 1905. He went to school and grew up in North Vancouver. He served in the Canadian Army in World War I. Herbert was single, working as a laborer and living with his parents when he died on Nov 29, 1921 in North Vancouver, B.C. The cause of his death was epilepsy. He was buried in Ocean View Burial Park in Burnaby, B.C.
