Linda E. (Crone) Smith, 58, died Sunday, June 26, 2005, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Lawrence E. Smith, Sr. for 29 years. Memorial service Thursday at John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, York. Burial in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Smith was born March 29, 1947, in Dover, a stepdaughter of Walter E. Hoskinson of Hellam, and daughter of the late Mary (Crone) Hoskinson. She was employed at Anvil International in Columbia and belonged to its union, Local 376. She bowled in leagues at East Lincoln Lanes. She was a 1965 graduate of York Catholic High School and attended Empire Beauty School. Mrs. Smith is survived, in addition to her husband and stepfather, by children, Douglas Smith and wife, Joni, Kathy Bender and husband, Samuel, Donna Gregory and husband, Donald, Daveen Hostetter and husband, Laverne, Jr., Judith Morgan and fiance, Jeffrey Howell, Lawrence Smith, Jr., Troy Smith, Stephanie Hubler and husband, Brian; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Pat Valenza, Bonnie Crone, and Diane Hassinger; and a brother, Richard Crone.
