James M. Eaton, 74, entered into rest Friday, July 1, 2005, at 7 a.m. at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Hess) Eaton whom he married December 18, 1954. Born in Stewartstown on July 23, 1930, he was the son of the late J. Frank and Zona V. (Neff) Eaton. Mr. Eaton had been a plumber for 15 years with IGF Kinard and then worked as a serviceman for 20 years with Aero Oil, retiring in 1990. He was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. James was a former member of Red Lion American Legion Post 543. He was a member of St. Paul's UM Church and Sunday School in Red Lion, and was a scoutmaster for ten years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Marty L. Eaton, and Todd K. Eaton and his wife, Cindy, all of York; one daughter Lisa J. Schaeberle and her husband, Robert of Red Lion; three grandchildren; one brother, G. Wayne Eaton of Malvern; one sister, Betty R. Snyder of York; and nieces and nephews. Graveside service Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at at Red Lion Cemetery, his pastors, Rev. Larry W. Focht and Rev. Dr. Glenn M. Dietrich, officiating. [York Daily Record]
