Henry was the son of Sutherland D. and Mary Melissa (Babcock) Bishop. He married Edith Vilora (Poor) in 1897mand they had four children: Mable, Gladys Marie, Leona Ellen and Mildred Vilora. Frank and Edith immigrated to America shortly after they were married . Frank was able to write limitly but couldn't read. He worked as a Forrester Halo operator.
