Funeral services for Walter Reighly Hurst of California were held Thursday, July 7, 1983 at 11:00 a.m. at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Rev. David Hart officiated.
Mr. Hurst was born November 12, 1885 in Kentucky and died July 1, 1983, in California at the age of 97.
He leaves his wife, Christean Stow Hurst, of the home; one daughter, Virginia Romeo of Hayward, Calif.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Paul Yarbrough, Gregg Yarbrough, Joe Davis, Eddie Jarboe, Steve Lightfoot and Harold Cooperman.
Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
