Nellie is predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Domie Abellera. She is survived by her five children, Daniel (Mabel) Abellera, Edward Abellera, Lisa Abellera, Christopher (Suzanne) Abellera, Anne (Sam) Rafter, and by her eight grandchildren, Taryn Abellera, Susan Abellera, Timothy Abellera, Allison Abellera, Rachel Abellera, Katelyn Abellera, Mars Rafter, and Dax Rafter.
Nellie was born and raised in the Philippines. She lived in California for the last 46 years and worked as a US postal clerk for 36 years.
A funeral will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 48800 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539 with a service at 12 noon and a burial at 1pm. There will also be a viewing on Friday, July 12 from 6pm to 9pm with a vigil prayer at 7pm.
