P.G.Nagengast, Dalton Farmer, Dies Yesterday.
A Dalton resident for the last 34 years, Paul George Nagengast, 56, died yesterday morning in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Mr. Nagengast entered the hospital late last week, although he had been failing for a number of years. A native Nebraskan, Mr. Nagengast was born June 29, 1898, at Howells, the son of Joseph and Mary Nagengast. Lived in Howells He lived in Howells until moving to Cheyenne County to undertake the occupation of farming.
He was married April 26, 1921, in Howells, to Margaret Blum. Mrs. Nagengast, along with Mr. Nagengast's father, survive. Mr. Nagengast was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, being affiliated with the Sidney parish. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from Gehrig Funeral Home and St. Patrick's Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Rev. Albert Albel will officiate. Rosary Tomorrow. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Gehrig Funeral Home. Survivors include one son-Paul of Dalton; one daughter- Mrs. John McGahan of Crow Agency, Mont.; two grandchildren; four brothers-Jacob of Pochahantas, Ia., Julius of Howells, Elmer of Potter and Oscar of Azuza, Calif., and four sisters-Mrs. Joseph Pietzmeier of Dodge, Neb., Mrs. Longin Evert of Fremont, Mrs. William Ragginn of Glendale, Calif. and Elizabeth of Minneapolis, Minn.
