Thelma was born on June 9th, 1913 in Milburn to John Wesley Goodman and Ida Lillian (Little) Goodman. She attended school there and later married William Harlin "Dick" LaFevers on January 25th, 1934 in Fillmore, Oklahoma. Except for a short time, Mrs. LaFevers lived in Milburn her entire life. She worked for many years as a cook for the Milburn School and also did a lot of baby sitting for children in the area, while raising her own children. She has been a member of the First Baptist Church since the early 1950's. Mrs. LaFevers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on June 15th, 1985; three sons, Kenneth on November 11th, 1958, Harlie on October 19th, 2007 and Bill on January 24th, 2010; a daughter, Nancy Altom on February 27th, 2012; a grandson, Stephen LaFevers; three brothers, Lester, Lee and Lowell Goodman; five sisters, Dora Harris, Betty Channell, Pauline Lovett, Ysleta Sherman and Flora Dean Warden; a son-in-law, Don Hogue and a daughter-in-law, Verna LaFevers.
