G, 166th Pennsylvania Infantry (aka "Drafted Militia"), but deserted November 22 before the regiment ever left York. There is no record of him being apprehended.
In 1880, he lived in Spring Garden Township, York County, and by 1900, in Lower Windsor Township, York County, where he died from "chronic cystitis" with "paralysis" a contributing factor.
