Cosmas Beck
Services for Cosmas H. Beck, 68, 411 Springer Avenue, will be at 9:30 A. M. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Stanley, officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Weber Funeral Home after 3 P. M. today. Knights of Columbus will meet at 8 P. M. tonight in the funeral home.
Mr. Beck, a local resident all of his life, died at 10:15 A. M. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, after a three month illness. He had been an electrician for City Electric Co., of Collinsville for 40 years.
He was born Feb. 1, 1902, in Edwardsville, a son of Cosmas and Fredericka Hans Beck. He was married to Margaret Foehrkalb April 15, 1925, in St. Boniface Catholic Church. She survives.
Other survivors are: a son, Vincent E. Beck of Edwardsville; two daughters, Rosemary Beck, Rosewood Heights, and Kathleen A. Beck, Kewanee; two grandchildren; a brother, Julius Beck, Pasadena, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Sophia O'Connell of Edwardsville, and Mrs. Theodore (Helen) Noeth of Granite City.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 309, Collinsville, and a Third Degree member of the Edwardsville Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville.
Memorials are requested for the American Cancer Society.
