Mary Magdaline Gann was the youngest child of Adam Gann (1827-1874) and Katherine Mannon (1829-1863). In either 1873 or 1876 she married Thomas Dykes in Missouri, probably in Wright County. To this union were born 10 children, four of which were still living at the time of Mary's death. Thomas and Mary eventually moved to Coweta, Oklahoma, where Thomas died on 4 Feb 1927. Mary then married William Hendley Knowlton in Coweta on 13 Jul 1935. She died in Coweta on 14 Jun 1942 and William died 4 months later in Tulsa. Mary's obituary states that she was buried in the Vernon Cemetery under the direction of the Wright Funeral Home.
