Aaron Maris married 1st Sarah Holladay on Dec. 13, 1797 at Spring Meeting House in Orange County, North Carolina. After she died, he married Mary Chambers on May 5, 1819 also in Orange County, Indiana.

NOTE: Aaron's father, George Maris (1744-1782) was married in a Quaker ceremony in Orange County, North Carolina in 1770. The family lived their lives in North Carolina and this George can't be the George Maris listed in the Pennsylvania Militia and wasn't a Revolutionary Soldier.
