Cuba Woman, Ill Three Months, Dies in Home Sunday

CUBA (Special) - Mrs. Effie Mae Stevenson, a resident of Cuba 43 years, died Sunday evening in her home following an illness of three months.

Born Dec. 12, 1876, in Fairview, a daughter of Samuel and Lusannah (Meyers) Tennis, she was married in St. David on Jan. 2, 1895, to Dudley O. Stevenson who preceded her in death in 1936.

Surviving are eight children, Mrs. Ethel Rock and Clarence Stevenson and Mrs. Peggy Kerr, in Cuba, and Alvin, at home; Mrs. Edith Murphy, in Urbana; Mrs. Ruth Dodson, Naperville; Clyde, in Peoria and the Rev. Edward Stevenson, in Rochelle, Ill., 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Two children, Ralph L. Stevenson, who died in 1930; one child in infancy and 16 brothers and sisters, preceded her in death.

Funeral rites will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Church of the Nazarene, of which she was a member, by the pastor, the Rev. T. W. Chenoweth. Burial will be in Wright cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hukill Funeral Chapel after 6:30 o'clock this evening.

Church for Woman Who Dies Sunday

CUBA (Special) - Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Mae Stevenson, who died Sunday in her home, were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. T. W. Chenoweth, pastor. Burial was in Wright cemetery.

Pallbearers were Donald Wheat, Ronald Rock, Leon and Clyde Stevenson and Gerald and Richard Kerr.

Mrs. Marilyn Robinson, pianist, accompanied the Rev. Edward Stevenson, and Kenneth Williamson, vocalists.
