Funeral services for Mrs. Fanny Newlon, 89, widow of Albert S. Newlon, and mother of Odis Newlon, this place, who died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William A. Adams, 128 South street, Cumberland, were held yesterday afternoon from First Baptist church at Westernport, conducted by Rev. Cecil Carter, pastor, assisted by Rev. Fred R. Barnes, pastor of First Methodist church. Interment was in Philos cemetery.

Paulbearers were James Spicer, George Spicer, Sextus Hitt, Newton Dawson, Strother Burton and LaPorta Oates. Flowerbearers were Floyd and Milton Newlon, Marshall Adams, Homer Thompson and Richard Dawson.

Among those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Newlon, and daughter, Elizabeth; Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Adams, Marshall Adams, Ruth Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Spicer, Cumberland, Lewis Newlon and son, Melvin Newlon, Fort Ashby.

Mrs. Albert S. Newlon
Mrs. Mary Fanny Newlon, 89, widow of Albert S. Newlon, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William A. Adams, 126 South street. A native of Culpeper, Va., she was n charter member of the First Baptist Church, Westernport. The body was removed to the home of her son, Odis Newlon, Luke.

Other survivors are two sons, Lewis Newlon, Fort Ashby, W. Va.; Herbert Newlon, Cumberland; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
