She married Wells Meeks in the Salt Lake Temple on June 16, 1948. They moved to Jacksonville, Florida to purchase and run a Black Angus ranch and poultry farm and gave birth to 6 children.

She has been actively involved with her church, serving in Primary and Relief Society presidencies, as the ward Welfare Square coordinator, as a Cub Scout Den Leader, and as a teacher.
She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed making Barbie clothes for granddaughters, rag dolls, a wedding dress for her daughter, quilts, and 65 sets of full size Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for her posterity on her 50th Anniversary.
She was always thinking and doing for others.
Her parents taught her how to work and she has worked hard her whole life. She has been called the "Energizer Bunny".
