EAST WINTHROP- Brian E. Corr, 72, of East Winthrop, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Central Maine Medical Center after bravely battling a period of declining health. He was born in Dighton, Mass., Aug. 5, 1940, the son of Harry and Dorothy (Barney) Corr. Brian grew up in Massachusetts and was a graduate of Monson Academy of Wilbraham Mass. He served in the Army National Guard for seven years and drove an 18-wheel gravel truck locally for several area companies; the most recent being Chickering Trucking of Middleboro, Mass.

Brian retired in 2002 and the following year moved to Maine where he lived on the water and could pursue his life-long passion for fishing. In his younger years Brian was also an avid hunter.

Brian was a member of Alfred W. Maxwell Jr. Post 40 American Legion in Winthrop and AmVets Post 33 in Jay.

Mr. Corr is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia (Paulding) Corr; two daughters, Audra LaChapelle, of Rehoboth, Mass. and Stacey Esteban and her husband, Christopher, of Morrisville, Vt.; and a grandson, Scott LaChapelle Jr. of Providence, R.I.
Burial will be at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery, Brockton, Mass. (Kennebec Journal 7/16/2013 & Roberts Funeral Home)
