Mrs. Virginia DeLancy,504 Pierce, succumbed Friday morning, January 3, in a local hospital. Mrs. DeLancy was a member of the First Southern Southern Baptist Church of Taft. She had been a resident of California for the past 13 years and of the West Side for 6 years. Mrs. DeLancy was born January 30, 1905 in Elysians Fields, Texas. She leaves her husband Robert F. DeLancy of Taft; one son, Robert Alton DeLancy of Tulare; one daughter Mrs. Betty Ione Bishop of Torrance; her mother Mrs. Minnie Hall of Taft; one half brother, Edwin Cadenhead of Skiatook, Okla.; one half sister, Harriet Hall of Redondo Beach and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Erickaon and Brown Chapel. Reverend Cloyce Dietzman of the First Southern Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will bollow in the West Side District Cemetery.
