Graveside Services for Mrs. Martha Rue Allen, age 87, of Lindale, are scheduled for 2PM on Thursday, July 18, 2013 in the Pilgrim Rest #1 Cemetery in Rains County with Rev.s Bill Minson & Rick Southerland officiating. Services are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale. Mrs. Allen died on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. She was born on February 8, 1926 in Rains County to Oliver H. & Martha Ozella Smith Melton and was formerly of Rains County before moving to the Swan & Lindale area in 1964. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Swan First Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver & Ozella Melton, Husband, L.C. Allen, Son Kevin Allen, Son-In-Law, Dusty Johnson, Sisters, Clara Holmes, Josie Melton, & Allie Ruth Harris, & by Brothers, Luther Melton & George Melton.

Survived by:

2 Sons & Daughters-In-Law: Gary & Sandra Allen of Greenville, & Ron & Valerie Allen of Longview

Daughter: Marcy Johnson of Lindale

10 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, & 4 Great Great Grandchildren

Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers

Family will receive friends from 6PM to 8PM on Wednesday evening t the Funeral Home
