After he left the Navy he up rooted his family and moved to Pineville, Louisiana, he found a few odd jobs until be began to work for U.S. immigration (JAPTC) in 1994 and in 1996 he became a U.S. Marshal for the air ops. He worked with U.S. Marshal Air Ops until he retired in 2011. He couldn't just sit around so he went back to work, began working at American Standard Distribution Center. In the beginning on 2013 he didn't feel like himself and went to the doctor and they found he had esophageal cancer.. His fight to beat the cancer was more that he could take and with sadness he passed.. he leaves behind a wife Teresa and three children, Steven Knotts, Arron Knotts and Kalya Knotts. Four grandchildren.. He is the kind of soul that is missed by all he touched...
