Harold W. Jensen, 85, of Brawley passed away at home Tuesday, April 17 after a battle with Parkinson's disease.
He was born August 2, 1921 in Grand Island, Nebraska. He spent 4 years serving in the Army Corp during WWII.
Following his service in the military Harold went on to work for Union Oil Company for 18 years before going to work for the Imperial Irrigation District - a job from which he retired in 1987.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20 at 11 a.m. at Assembly of God Church in Brawley with Pastors Michael Lasky and Jim Tucker officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Opal Jensen and daughter, Jane Bishop.
Harold is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Joy Bishop; daughter, Helen Mueller; grandchildren; Stacy Chandler, Micki Soto, Erin Bishop, Silas Bishop, all of Brawley, and Todd Machado of El Centro; siblings, Art Jensen of Grand Island, NE, Harlen Jensen of Lexington, NE, Marvin Jensen of Greensburg, KS, George Jensen of Cozad, NE, Ernest Jensen of North Platte, NE, Margaret Lukenback of Longmont, CO, Leona McHargue and Helen Armour, both of Grand Island, NE; 10 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great granchildren.
Harold will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that any donations be made to Assembly of God Church in Brawley.
