Mrs. Ellen M. Junk, 86, a former Cleveland area resident, died Sunday at Sunny Ridge where she had resided the past four years.
The former Ellen Rein, she was born in the Town of Schleswig on May 9, 1890 a daughter of Robert and Minna Klessig Rein. She attended local schools.
On Feb. 5, 1912 she was married to Frank J. Junk of Cleveland. After marriage the couple farmed in the Cleveland area. Her husband died in 1955.
She was a member of St. Wendel Catholic Church, Cleveland, and its Christian Mothers Society.
In 1968 she moved to Sheboygan and became an honorary member of St. Dominic Christian Mothers Society.
Survivors are a son, Francis of Sheboygan; four daughters, Mrs. Norma Klein and Mrs. Arthur (Gertrude) Groshdorf, both of Sheboygan, Sr. M. Eudelma of Topwa, Ariz. And Mrs. Wenzel (Mabel) Tienor of Cleveland: 20 grandchildren and 20great-grandchildre; a sister, Mrs. Clara Goodwin of Pine Bluff, Ark.; and two brothers, Harry Rein of Waukesha and Alvin of Manitowoc; a half-brother, Richard Rein of California and a half-sister, Mrs. Hubert Schneider of Plymouth.
Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Wendel Catholic Church, preceded by family rites at 10 at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at St. Wendel's at 10 a.m.
The Rev. R. T. Peeters, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. George Catholic Cemetery, Cleveland.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 5 p.m. Tuesday, where a parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Junk's name.
