Augustus Dan "Gus" Beligotti, 81, USMC Retired Captain, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, April 1, 2013.

Family & friends are invited to call on Friday, April 5th 2013 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00pm at the Haughey-Wood Funeral Home, 119 Fifth St., Watkins Glen, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, April 6 at 11:30am at St. Mary's of the Lake Church. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation in Gus's name to the Disabled American Veterans, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076 or the Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

Gus was born on February 19, 1932 in Watkins Glen, NY to the late Luigi & Teresa Beligotti. At the age of 18, Gus enlisted in the USMC, retiring after 21 years of active duty. He continued to honorably represent the Marine Corps the remainder of his life.

He is survived by his sister, Jane Butterazzi; sons, Dino (Nan), Danny (Ruth), Adam (Gina); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews, all of which he took great pride and joy in. Gus was predeceased by his high school sweetheart & loving wife, Willie Beligotti; brothers, Feno, Nato, Aldo, Frank; sisters, Mary, Julia and Anna.
