Olvis Virginia Tholen, 76, wife of Bernhard "Slim" Tholen, of 139 Shadowbrook Court, died January 20, 2008 at Palmetto Health Baptist.

Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late John T. Patton and Corenlia Galbreath Patton. She was retired from the cafeteria at Saco Lowell in Easley and a member of Westwood Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Susie Ellenburg of Easley and Keshia Tholen of the home; son, Michael Tholen and wife, Margaret, of Six Mile; brother, Joe Patton of Pickens; daughter-in-law, Donna Chambers of Easley; grandchildren, Tony Chambers and wife, Sabrina, of Pickens, Anthony Chambers of Easley, Jenna Ellenburg Waldrop and husband, Randy, of Easley, Chris Mashburn of Tigerville, and Quiton Mashburn of Tigerville; and four great-grandchildren.

A son, Wade Chambers and brother, Oliver Patton predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2008, in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family is at the residence.
